Melodio for George - The Miracle of Christmas

The Melodio Foundation supports people with disabilities who, despite adversity, want to work on themselves and develop their attitudes, careers and quality relationships. To do this, the Melodio Foundation provides them with expert coaches and trainers.

This year’s Christmas concert is subtitled Melodio for Jiří. Due to a brain tumour, Jiří is partially paralysed and has been unable to find work or start his own family. Trivial goals for some, but it’s like health – you only find out how valuable it is when you don’t have it. Jiří has already started working with a coach, Katerina Pešková, and is determined to work on himself to open up opportunities for both getting a job and starting a family.

What did Advent Prague sound like in the Baroque era? – The En Arché Chamber Choir, founded by Vojtěch Jouza, a member of the Czech Philharmonic, will tell us. The singers of the choir are united by their enthusiasm for beautiful music of different styles, but they are most fond of the Baroque period. In less than 30 years of existence, the choir has won awards at international competitions and frequently performs in concerts in the Czech Republic and abroad (Germany, Switzerland, Norway, Belgium). In his concerts En Arché also collaborates with the Prague Baroque Ensemble, and orchestras (Czech Philharmonic, Chamber Philharmonic Pardubice, North Bohemian State Philharmonic Teplice, Hradec Králové Philharmonic, Pilsen Philharmonic).

You can look forward to Kateřina Morozová, a singer and lover of musical songs, who will present her compositional debut, The Miracle of Christmas.

And there will be a nice surprise on St. Nicholas Day….
